generally customer defines a set of general rules for s/w but the customer is unable to recognize the details about the i/p
process and the needs
on the other hand developer may not be sure about efficiency of an algorthm
the adaptability of o.s. the prototype model is useful for s/w engg. as well as the customer to understand what is to be
build when the requirement are unclear
in prototyping quick iterations of those features of the s/w visible to the customer or the end user
for eg. i.p form and o/p results are quickly designed by developers and shown to customers
the prototyping is done till customer satisfaction
drawback of prototyping model
1.the customer just views the working version of s/w but they do not understnd that due to rush get it done affects overall
s/w quality all long term maintenance of s/w product
2.in case when customer is informed to be rebuild to maintain hign levels of quality, customer may not be comfortable with
it.
they think there are just few changes in prototype in an product will be working product
the developer often makes implementation compromising in order to get a prototype working quickly
